Created by the European Commission, Directorate General for the Enterprises and Industry, the new Enterprise Europe Network gathers the experience of former Innovation Relay Centre (IRC) and Euro Info Centre (EIC) networks to be the one stop shop for European businesses to develop in the other European countries and become more competitive.

In the East of France, 6 organisations covering Alsace, Burgundy, Champagne-Ardenne, Franche-Comte and Lorraine are working together as the consortium Grand Est coordinated by CCIR Bourgogne.

• Assist companies in finding partners in East of France, whatever type of partnership (commercial, technological, or collaboration RTD)
• Promoting innovative products and services from businesses in East of France to find new markets in Europe
• Advise on regulations, standards and intellectual property
• Provide feedback to the European Institutions

• Companies of all sizes and from all sectors of industry
• Research and technical centres, public or private- Schools for higher education
• Consulting firms

• A network of over 4000 experts, regularly exchanging information on current research, collaboration projects, forums, trade fairs and other significant events in their region
• The support of the European Commission, meaning easy access to scientific, technical and economic data
• The highly specialised environment of experienced partner organisations
• An excellent knowledge of local industry, ensuring appropriate responses to companies' needs
• A competence in legal and European matters, technology watch, standards and patent rights
